Dr. Brookman-Frazee is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego and a Research Scientist at the Child and Adolescent Services Research Center. Her research focuses on studying the development, adaptation, implementation, and sustainment of evidence-based interventions delivered in routine care settings. She is currently conducting a large-scale effectiveness/implementation study testing a package of evidence-based strategies for children with children autism spectrum disorder in publicly-funded mental health programs and examining factors associated with adoption, implementation and sustainment of the intervention. She is also conducting a large-scale observational study examining sustainment of multiple evidence-based practices fiscally mandated for implementation in children’s mental health services in Los Angeles County.
