Dr. Haine-Schlagel received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Arizona State University and completed post-doctoral training in child mental health services research at the Child & Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC) through the University of California, San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies at San Diego State University and an Investigator at CASRC. Her research focuses on understanding and promoting the evidence-based process of consumer participation in child and family services. Dr. Haine-Schlagel was the Principal Investigator on an NIMH-funded Career Development Award to develop and pilot a consumer activation toolkit to promote parent participation in publicly-funded clinic-based child mental health services and has several active grants focused on understanding and promoting parent participation across service types and family needs.
