Dr. A. Rani Elwy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (DPHB) and the Director of the DPHB Implementation Science Core in the Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Rani is also a core investigator at the VA Center for Healthcare Organization and Implementation Research at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA, where she co-directs the QUERI Complementary and Integrative Health Evaluation Center (CIHEC), a partnered evaluation initiative with the VA Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation. Two goals of CIHEC are to implement the electronic collection of patient reported outcomes among Veterans receiving any complementary and integrative health (CIH) approach, and to identify and examine the implementation strategies used by VA facilities nationally for delivering a range of CIH services. At Brown, Rani is building D&I research capacity among DPHB psychology and psychiatry residents, postdoctoral fellows and faculty members through weekly seminars, monthly workshops and one-on-one consulting and mentoring.
